1. A letter from the Sovereign

I enjoy writing about sex. Sometimes just to enhance a story with a single scene and sometimes just because I want to write pages worth of pointless smut. An interest like this comes with a few issues. If you want to avoid playing with underage people, you have to go to 18+ adult sites. But on many sex-focused adult sites, it's ONLY about the sex and not about the stories you want to tell. Sometimes they make you uncomfortable and feel like all they want is hot cyber lovin'. They hit on you and make inappropriate sexual comments. You have to deal with players who blur the line between writer and character without respecting personal space.

I just want to play and giggle about butts without feeling uncomfortable!

I know there are a lot of writers out there just like me. Amor was created for us!

    So if you LOVE:
    • Playing. Just plain old having fun playing.

    • Creating worlds, stories, plots and more.

    • Living in the shoes of your characters.

    • Having the freedom to write about anything you want to write.

    • Sex scenes, be it in brief encounters or pages and pages of smut.

    • Making real friendships and connections with people.

    But you HATE:
    • Getting shamed for your sexy or kinky interests.

    • Players who blur the line between writer and character by treating partners like lovers or property.

    • Feeling uncomfortable because your partner keeps making sexual passes at YOU the writer without consent.

    • Being asked personal questions about the real you, that are unnecessary to your ability to roleplay.

    • Being judged by your word count, amount of paragraphs, and writing style.

Amor wants to be that place for you. Help us create a safe adult roleplay community so we can all enjoy butts.

P.S. Are you a teenager considering lying about your age to get in? Don't. Please don't. Some of us are old enough to be your Mom or Dad. This is SUPER GROSS for us. Not to mention could get us in serious trouble. You ARE mature enough to write about sex, we know this. But WE need to feel safe too. Take yourself to Iwaku, where you CAN write. Come back to us when you're old enough, we'll still be here. Promise! Consider our feelings and respect that. Because if we catch you lying, our trust is broken and you will be banned for life. Even if we loved you.

Terms and Rules of Amor

Official site rules.

    1. You must be 18+ to join this website.
No exceptions. YES, you are old enough to write mature content. But there are still laws to obey and people's comfort levels to respect. If you are found to be under 18 you will be immediately banned for life, no matter how much we like you. Please do not break our trust. Learn more about why we are 18+ only in this letter from the Sovereign.
    2. You can write about ANYTHING with ONE exception: We do not allow sex scenes with children.
It is our ONE content rule. Characters must be at least 13 years old if they are going to be in a sex scene. That's a teenager about to start highschool, and we all know teenagers begin exploring sex about then. Note: It is okay if these themes appear in a character's tragic backstory, alluding to events offscreen, etc. We understand these are elements that appear in stories. But you cannot play out scenes of pedophilia with child characters. Respect the spirit of this rule. Please do not try to skirt around it using "fade to black" or by taking it Private Conversation, and this does also include those "my character looks 8 but is a 500 year old vampire" situations. We will take action against anyone we feel is violating it. You can learn more about this here.
    3. User Names and Avatars must be "Safe for Work" and generally inoffensive.
Names and Avatars cannot be turned off on the site. These very public things help create the atmosphere that makes up Amor. We want to avoid having members named things like "Hot Dick Jimmy" and "Honey Pussylips McTwat". (Yes, lewd phrases in languages other than English do count.) Nor do we want bad drawn anime boobies, engorged dragon dildos, and sticky cum shots all over avatars. Curse words in user names are allowed, but strongly discouraged and you may be asked to change it if it gets reported.
    4. We do not allow the use of pornographic images on Amor.
We adults have lives. We're at school, work, at home with the kids... we don't want someone looking over our shoulder and seeing a massive cock shooting loads at a pair of giant boobs. When you're not sure if an image crosses the line of sexual overtness, make use of spoiler tags to warn the viewer. View out NSFW Image Guide for more information.
    5. One account per person. We do not allow multiple accounts or additional "character" accounts.
We do this so we can protect you from abusers who like to create additional accounts to avoid consequences for poor behavior. If you need to change your User Name you can do so easily in your account settings. If you need to fix you birthdate, you can contact the staff. If you desire to self-delete your account and create a new one, you are also allowed to do that. (Note: Those who have a chronic issue with self-deleting and recreating accounts will be flagged for suspicious behavior and possibly suspended.) If you are sharing a household or device with another member, you can easily mark it in your profile to alert staff. View more on Multiple Accounts and Self Deletion.
    6. Post ratings exist to help ENHANCE your experience, they are not to be abused.
These exist so you can quickly give props to posts you love, and also a way to help flag members that are causing problems with in our community. Never give people poor ratings as a joke or out of spite. Do not try to threaten or bully members with poor ratings. View more about post ratings and their meanings in our handy guide.
    7. Do not plagiarize content from other members or from other sites.
That means copying and pasting someone else's partner requests, plots, or posts, and includes changing words around without permission. It's not cool. Click here to learn more about plagiarism.
    8. A Game Master's Word is Law.
Their Roleplay, Their rules. Please abide by and respect their rules, or simply drop out of the roleplay if you cannot.

We have an extended guide on Etiquette in a Community.

    1. Be kind to the new and inexperienced.
For many people Amor will be their first time writing or roleplaying. This might be their first time using a forum community, or even the internet. Be patient and helpful. Give people the chance to learn and grown. We're all here for the same reason, and that is to enjoy ourselves!
    2. Respect the space, opinions, boundaries, and feelings of other members.
You do not have to like everyone, you do not have to agree with everyone, but you DO have to respect everyone. If you expect kindness and respect, you must treat others with it. If someone tells you to drop something, that they are not comfortable, or to leave them alone - listen. Continuing to do it becomes harassment. If you are caught harassing members through continued contact, public ranting, or other means - you will be removed from the site. View more on using Ignore & Report.
    3. "Freedom of Speech" does not apply here - only Flexibility of Speech. This is a private website.
You are welcome to voice your opinions and believe what you want to believe - but not at the expense of forcing those opinions and beliefs on to others. Consider this our house. Should you become a problem in our house, you will get kicked out of our house.
    4. Amor is here for an escape from reality. We are NOT here to solve your life problems, be a masturbatory tool, or discuss world issues.
That means, don't use us to get booty calls and cyber sex. Don't use us to vent about being suicidal and depressed. Don't use us as a debate platform for world politics. Have some fun with us, leave the rest at the door!
    5. Respect our Authority figures. They are here to play AND to keep you safe.
You don't have to agree with our rules or the way we enforce them. But you DO have to respect them and follow them. If you feel that an authority figure is abusing their position and your trust, you can report them and your Sovereign will investigate. You can learn more about consequences and punishments here.
    6. Writing in standard English or provide English translations.
We cannot effectively moderate the site in multiple languages! Please write all posts in English or provide translations for posts to help ease the burden on our staff.
    7. Do not "spite delete" roleplay content from the site.
Things happen: be it a falling out with partners or a disliking for the site. However, the content you post here is a collaboration with others- you both share the work put in to it. Neither of you own exclusive rights to it. Deleting your roleplay content from a collaboration is against site policy.
    8. Respect the themes and tone of a topic or roleplay.
Generally when people post a thread in Gabbing or a Roleplay, they have a topic in mind or a theme/tone. A thread might be about your favorite pop music - respecting that topics means only discussing pop music, not going in and derailing it to discuss why the Illuminati is ruining music. When a roleplay is listed as a comedy, you wouldn't write the most tragic posts known to man.

Nicely written rules. I particularly like the bit on Freedom of Speech. People have such a poor understanding of what 'Freedom of Speech' really means.
